Broken Blade Tips Not Covered by Warranty
No, we do not replace knives due to broken tips. Broken blade tips are typically caused by prying, twisting, or dropping the knife on a hard surface. Normal cutting does not result in broken tips.
As stated on our warranty page, Off-Grid Knives' warranty does not cover damage caused by prying, misuse, improper handling, dropping, or any other physical or mechanical damage. This includes:
- Using the knife as a screwdriver, can opener, bottle opener, or pry bar
- Cutting zip ties or thick plastic, which often leads to prying and twisting
- Using the knife as a chisel or punch
Prying is the number one cause of broken blade tips, and if your knife tip breaks, it is assumed to be the result of prying, which is not covered under our warranty.
